KarKiosk Bill of Sale Terms

Bill of Sale Service
Terms and Conditions

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These Bill of Sale Service Terms and Conditions ("Service Terms") govern your use of the digital vehicle Bill of Sale service offered by KarKiosk ("KarKiosk," "we," "us," or "our"). "You" means each person who creates, purchases, reviews, or signs a document through the service.

1. Agreement and relationship to site terms

The KarKiosk website Terms and Conditions at https://karkiosk.com/page/terms-conditions ("General Terms") govern your account and general use of the website. These Bill of Sale Service Terms and Conditions ("Service Terms") govern the purchase and use of the Bill of Sale service and supplement the General Terms. Our Privacy Policy at https://karkiosk.com/page/privacy-policy explains our personal information practices.

At payment, the purchaser must affirmatively accept both the General Terms and these Service Terms. Before sending a signature invitation, the participant initiating the invitation must affirmatively accept these Service Terms again. The invited buyer must register and accept the General Terms during registration, then separately accept these Service Terms before signing. The same separate acceptance requirement applies to any other invited signer. Acceptance of the General Terms alone does not constitute acceptance of these Service Terms.

These Service Terms control any conflict concerning the Bill of Sale service, including fees, refunds, retention, document sharing, and liability. Section 15 exclusively governs dispute resolution between you and KarKiosk concerning this service. The General Terms' provisions on governing law, courts, arbitration, class-action or jury-trial waivers, and claim-filing deadlines do not apply to those service disputes.

The versions of these Service Terms and the incorporated General Terms presented and accepted for the transaction govern that purchased service, subject to Section 16. Later website changes do not automatically amend that transaction's terms.

These agreements govern your relationship with KarKiosk. The Bill of Sale separately records the agreement between buyer and seller. Accepting the General Terms or these Service Terms does not itself sign a Bill of Sale or commit you to purchase or sell a vehicle. Electronic-records consent and the intentional act of signing the Bill of Sale are separate steps.

2. What the service provides

KarKiosk is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The service, templates, checklists, and other information are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. Using the service or communicating with KarKiosk does not create an attorney-client relationship. Consult a qualified attorney for advice about your particular transaction or legal rights and obligations.

The service helps participants prepare a vehicle Bill of Sale using the selected state and transaction information, complete the document review and electronic-signing workflow, and obtain a completed PDF packet. Features include a transaction ID and QR code for document verification, vehicle and mileage information, buyer and seller details, purchase and payment terms, and supporting checklists, as described at purchase. Document verification does not verify participant identities.

KarKiosk provides document preparation and signing tools. We are not a party to the vehicle sale and do not provide legal representation, vehicle inspections, title insurance, escrow, or vehicle payment processing through this service. Unless separately and expressly offered, the service does not submit documents to a motor vehicle agency, transfer title, or provide notarization.

3. Eligibility and accurate information

You must be at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter this agreement, and have authority to act in the transaction. Provide your own accurate legal name and contact details. An authorized representative must disclose their representative capacity and obtain any required authority or signatures.

You are responsible for reviewing all entered and retrieved information before signing, including VIN, title state, mileage and mileage status, ownership, liens, price, payment status, delivery arrangements, and participant details. Automatically populated data must be checked against the vehicle and original records. Do not sign an incomplete or inaccurate document.

4. State requirements and remaining paperwork

KarKiosk offers state-specific Bill of Sale documents for transactions throughout the United States, based on the state selected and information provided by participants. Participants are responsible for selecting the appropriate state and reviewing their information. Additional requirements may depend on where the vehicle is titled, where it will be registered, and the circumstances of the transaction. Interstate transactions may require compliance with more than one jurisdiction.

A completed Bill of Sale does not replace required title assignments, government forms, lien releases, odometer disclosures, inspections, notarization, registration, taxes, or seller transfer notices. Entering mileage in this service does not by itself satisfy applicable federal or state odometer-disclosure requirements. Electronic signing is not notarization.

Unless expressly included in a separately offered service, KarKiosk does not submit government paperwork, transfer vehicle titles, or complete registration or seller transfer notifications. Participants are responsible for completing applicable procedures within the required deadlines and confirming document acceptance requirements with the relevant motor vehicle agency.

Transactions involving liens, co-owners, gifts, estates, or other special circumstances may require additional documents or assistance. Consult the relevant motor vehicle agency or a qualified attorney when needed. Nothing in this section limits KarKiosk’s express service commitments or the correction and refund provisions in Section 9.

5. Buyer and seller responsibilities

The seller is responsible for establishing their authority to sell, obtaining any co-owner or lienholder approvals, and making all legally required disclosures. The buyer is responsible for reviewing vehicle condition, ownership records, title status, and the agreed terms. Both participants must fulfill their payment, delivery, filing, tax, and other legal obligations.

The participants determine whether the vehicle is sold as-is or with an express warranty, subject to applicable law, and must accurately record that agreement. An as-is provision does not excuse fraud or eliminate disclosures or rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Signing or generating a packet does not prove that payment cleared, delivery occurred, or government title records changed. Do not acknowledge receipt of payment unless it was actually received.

6. Participant identities and signing security

KarKiosk does not verify buyer or seller identities or independently authenticate the identity of a person applying an electronic signature. Use of electronic-signature technology, signing links, electronic signatures, transaction IDs, QR codes, and audit records does not constitute a representation by KarKiosk that a participant's identity has been verified. Participants are responsible for independently confirming one another's identity, vehicle ownership, and authority before completing the transaction.

Do not impersonate another person, use another person's signing credentials, or allow someone else to sign as you. Protect your account and signing links. Contact support@karkiosk.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or signing. We may pause a transaction to investigate a reasonable security concern; doing so does not constitute identity verification.

7. Electronic signatures and consent

KarKiosk uses third-party electronic-signature providers to facilitate electronic signing. Before signing, each participant must receive the Electronic Records and Signature Consent Disclosure and affirmatively consent through the signing workflow. By intentionally applying an electronic signature and completing the signing action, you intend to sign the displayed document and be bound by its terms to the extent enforceable under applicable law. Use of third-party electronic-signature providers does not replace the consent, disclosure, and document requirements applicable to the transaction.

Electronic-signature laws recognize electronic records and signatures subject to applicable requirements. Neither electronic format nor use of this service guarantees that a document will satisfy every government requirement or resolve a dispute. You may decline to sign electronically and arrange an appropriate alternative with the other participant.

8. Audit records and document verification

The service maintains an audit trail that records names, IP addresses associated with signers and viewers, timestamps, and recorded activities such as document access, downloads, signing, and alterations. Audit entries reflect activity recorded by the system; they do not independently verify a person’s identity, establish who actually performed an action, or certify the accuracy of transaction statements. Recording an alteration does not authorize changes to a signed document; the requirements in Section 10 apply.

The QR code printed on the Bill of Sale links to a verification page showing participant names and whether the document has been completed. It confirms the recorded document-completion status only; it does not verify participant identities, vehicle ownership, payment, delivery, or government title transfer. The QR verification page does not display the full Bill of Sale, signatures, addresses, IP addresses, or detailed audit trail. Anyone with access to the QR code or its verification link may be able to view the names and completion status displayed there. Share the document and QR code only with intended recipients.

KarKiosk does not guarantee a particular court's evidentiary ruling or a motor vehicle agency's acceptance. Do not modify a signed PDF, audit record, transaction ID, or QR code and present the altered version as the original.

9. Service fee, credits, payment, and refunds

Each $39.99 purchase provides one credit for a Bill of Sale for one vehicle, including the corrections, resends, and restarts permitted below. The purchase is a one-time payment with no recurring subscription. The amount payable, applicable taxes, discounts, and included features are shown before payment. Price changes apply to future purchases, not a purchase already completed. Additional purchases or separately offered services require your authorization.

The credit is considered used when either the seller or the buyer initiates a signature invitation to the other party through the service. Credit use occurs at that point, regardless of whether the recipient opens the invitation, signs the document, or completes the vehicle transaction. A used credit remains available for the permitted corrections, resends, and restarts described below; it does not become an unused credit again. Refund eligibility is governed separately by the refund policy in this section.

Permitted reuse and restarts: No additional credit is required to correct or resend the Bill of Sale for the same physical vehicle. If a buyer withdraws before the vehicle sale is completed, the seller may use the same credit to prepare and send a Bill of Sale to a replacement buyer for that vehicle. A typographical error in the VIN may be corrected by editing or restarting the document, provided the correction identifies the same physical vehicle originally intended for the sale. A system failure or a material change to the proposed sale terms or transaction details also permits a restart for that vehicle without an additional credit. Revised and restarted documents are subject to the review and signing requirements in Section 10.

New transactions: A credit cannot be transferred to a different physical vehicle or used for multiple completed vehicle sales. Once a vehicle sale has been completed, a later resale of that vehicle is a new transaction and requires a new credit purchase. A later resale cannot be treated as a correction, resend, or restart of the earlier sale.

The fee pays for the Bill of Sale service, not the vehicle or government transfer charges. You must be authorized to use your chosen payment method. Vehicle purchase funds are arranged between the participants outside this service.

Additional state forms and requirements: A state may require its own bill of sale, title-transfer form, odometer disclosure, or other document in addition to or instead of the KarKiosk Bill of Sale for a particular filing. Before purchasing the service and completing the vehicle transaction, check current requirements with the motor vehicle agency in the state where the vehicle is titled and the state where it will be registered, if different. Where a specific government form or procedure is required, participants must use that form and follow the agency’s instructions, including any required signatures, original documents, or notarization. Do not assume that a KarKiosk PDF or electronic signature will be accepted in its place. The KarKiosk Bill of Sale may be retained as an additional transaction record, but does not replace required government paperwork. The service fee does not include government forms, filing, or processing services unless expressly stated at purchase. These requirements do not limit the correction and refund remedies for service failures, material template errors, or other refund rights provided in this section or by applicable law.

Unused credits: You may request a full refund within seven (7) calendar days of purchase, provided neither the seller nor the buyer has initiated a signature invitation to the other party. A refunded credit is cancelled and cannot be used.

Used credits: Once a signature invitation has been initiated, a refund is generally not available because you change your mind, the other party refuses to sign, or the vehicle transaction is not completed. The permitted reuse and restart options above remain available without another credit. The exceptions below apply even if the credit has been used.

Service failures and template errors: If a KarKiosk technical failure prevents signing or delivery of the completed PDF, we will attempt to resolve it promptly. If we cannot deliver the purchased service, we will provide a full refund. We will correct at no charge a material error in a KarKiosk template that makes the document unsuitable for its advertised purpose; if we cannot correct that error, we will provide a full refund. If KarKiosk cancels a paid order without providing the purchased service, we will refund the service fee.

Billing errors and refund requests: We will refund duplicate charges and amounts charged incorrectly. To request a refund or report a service or billing issue, email support@karkiosk.com with your transaction ID or purchase reference and a description of the issue. Eligible service-fee refunds are paid in full to the original payment method, without deductions for processing or administrative fees. Refund arrival times depend on your payment provider.

The seven-day request window applies to refunds of unused credits. It does not limit the service-failure, template-error, or billing-error exceptions above, or any refund, billing-dispute, or other rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.

10. Review, corrections, and transaction cancellation

You have an opportunity to review and edit the complete Bill of Sale document before initiating a signature invitation to the other party. Check all vehicle, participant, and transaction details before sending the invitation or signing. You may correct, resend, or restart the Bill of Sale without an additional credit in the circumstances described in Section 9. If a version has already been signed, changes must be presented in a revised document for review and fresh signatures by the parties to that revised document, or in a separately agreed amendment that complies with applicable law. Earlier signatures do not carry over to a revised or restarted document. Do not alter an already signed version and present it as the original. Retain the original and any corrected or superseding records.

Closing or restarting a workflow, replacing a buyer, withdrawing electronic-delivery consent, or deleting an account does not automatically cancel a signed contract or erase a participant’s obligations. Any rescission, amendment, or cancellation of the vehicle transaction must be agreed by the relevant parties or otherwise permitted by law. Reuse of a service credit does not authorize a seller to disregard an existing agreement with a prior buyer. Contact support for assistance with an incomplete workflow; service-fee refunds are governed by Section 9.

11. Copies, retention, and permitted sharing

After the required signing and completion steps, the service provides a completed PDF packet for both participants. Each participant should promptly download and safely retain their copy, including any accompanying audit record. You may print it and share it with the other participant, a motor vehicle agency, insurer, lender, legal or tax adviser, court, or another authorized recipient for lawful transaction-related purposes. These permissions continue after your account or service access ends.

Completed documents and audit records: KarKiosk retains each completed Bill of Sale and its accompanying audit record for twelve (12) months from the date both buyer and seller have signed. During that period, each participant with an active account may download the completed packet from their account profile as often as needed, at no additional charge.

Unsigned and unfinished documents: Unsigned drafts and unfinished Bills of Sale, including partially signed documents, are retained in the user's account profile for twelve (12) months from the date the draft was first created. Editing or partially signing a draft does not restart that period. If both parties sign before that period expires, the completed-document retention period described above begins on the date both signatures have been completed.

Account closure: If you close your account, you lose access to documents through your account profile. Download and retain your documents and any accompanying audit records before closing your account. Closing one participant's account does not end the other participant's access during the applicable retention period, provided the other participant's account remains active. Account closure does not itself require immediate deletion of the shared transaction record or cancel a signed Bill of Sale.

Expiration and legal preservation: After the applicable twelve-month period, KarKiosk deletes the document and any accompanying audit record, and they are no longer available for retrieval through the service, except to the extent retention is required by applicable law, a court order, or a legal obligation to preserve evidence. Records retained under such an exception are not available through ordinary account access, but any access or disclosure required by law remains available. These service retention periods do not limit how long participants may keep their own downloaded copies or determine the duration of their rights and obligations under the Bill of Sale. For access assistance during the applicable period or legally required access requests, contact support@karkiosk.com with your transaction ID.

12. Privacy and limited use of transaction data

The service processes participant names and contact details, vehicle and transaction information, signatures, and audit information to prepare documents, operate the signing workflow, maintain records, prevent misuse, and provide support. Audit information includes names, IP addresses associated with signers and viewers, timestamps, and recorded activities such as access, downloads, signing, and alterations. Document content and information needed to perform these functions are processed by third-party electronic-signature providers. Transaction details, signatures, and audit information included in the completed packet are available to the transaction participants. Payment providers process information needed for payment-related functions. These practices are explained in these Service Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable notices. Collecting or recording this information does not constitute identity verification.

When a seller replaces a buyer, the service does not provide the replacement buyer with the previous buyer’s personal details, signatures, or audit records. The previous buyer is not given access through the service to the replacement buyer’s transaction documents. A seller or another participant may separately share information or documents; participants are responsible for ensuring that any such sharing is lawful and authorized. Replacing a buyer does not remove a previous participant’s rights to records from their own transaction, subject to Section 11 and applicable law.

The specific document-retention, download, account-closure, deletion, and legal-preservation rules in Section 11 apply to this service, including the twelve-month periods for completed documents and unfinished drafts. General statements in the Privacy Policy do not extend those document-access or retention periods. Account closure ends the closing participant’s profile access and does not necessarily require immediate deletion of a shared transaction record. These rules do not restrict privacy rights or access, deletion, and preservation obligations imposed by applicable law. QR verification discloses only the information described in Section 8.

Only submit information you are lawfully entitled to provide. Use another participant's information only for the transaction or another lawful purpose. Do not use it for unsolicited marketing, harassment, or identity theft. Transaction records are not public user content licensed for unrestricted advertising or publication.

13. Prohibited conduct, intellectual property, and indemnification

Do not forge signatures, falsify ownership or mileage, conceal required disclosures, understate the price to evade taxes, manipulate signing or document records, access another transaction without authorization, or interfere with the service. We may restrict access or pause a workflow where reasonably necessary to address misuse, fraud, or legal requirements.

KarKiosk and its licensors retain rights in the service software, branding, and templates. You retain your rights in information you submit and authorize its processing to provide the service. Your right to retain and lawfully use completed transaction documents is not revoked by suspension or termination.

Limited indemnification: To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to reimburse KarKiosk for amounts awarded against it in a final judgment or included in a settlement you approve in writing, together with reasonable, documented defense costs and attorney fees, but only to the extent a third-party claim is caused by your fraud, impersonation, knowing submission of false information, unlawful submission or disclosure of another person’s information, or material breach of the restrictions on use of the service in this section. This obligation does not cover losses caused by KarKiosk’s negligence, misconduct, breach of these Service Terms, or violation of law. It does not apply merely because you use the service, make a good-faith complaint, or assert your own legal rights, and it does not waive any nonwaivable consumer protection.

Indemnity procedure: KarKiosk will promptly notify you in writing of a claim for which it seeks reimbursement and provide reasonable information about the claim. Delayed notice reduces your obligation only to the extent the delay materially prejudices your ability to respond. KarKiosk may manage the defense using reasonably appropriate counsel, and you may participate through your own counsel at your expense. Both parties will reasonably cooperate and take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary costs. KarKiosk will not seek reimbursement for a settlement without your written approval or agree on your behalf to an admission of fault, payment, or other obligation without your written consent. This provision does not impose a separate obligation on you to assume or fund the defense before your reimbursement obligation is established. This limited indemnity exclusively governs indemnification for the Bill of Sale service and replaces any broader indemnity obligation in the General Terms for claims concerning this service.

14. Service limitations and liability

Subject to our express service commitments and applicable law, the tools and informational materials are provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free retrieved data, or suitability for every transaction. Mandatory statutory warranties and remedies remain available.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KarKiosk will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the Bill of Sale service, including lost profits. KarKiosk’s total liability to each participant for all claims arising from a single purchased Bill of Sale service transaction will not exceed $500, whether those claims arise from contract, warranty, ordinary negligence, or another legal theory. For this purpose, a single purchased service transaction includes all permitted corrections, revisions, resends, buyer replacements, and restarts under the same credit. Multiple claims or document versions do not create additional limits for the same participant. This limit applies separately to each participant, including a participant who did not purchase the credit.

The limitations in this section do not apply to KarKiosk’s fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. Refunds expressly owed under Section 9 are payable separately and do not reduce the $500 limit. Nothing in this section restricts nonwaivable consumer rights or remedies, or attorney fees and court costs recoverable under applicable law.

15. Disputes and governing law

These Service Terms and disputes between you and KarKiosk arising out of or relating to the Bill of Sale service are governed by Texas law, subject to applicable federal law and consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived. This provision does not deprive you of mandatory protections applicable to you under the law of another jurisdiction.

Before starting court proceedings, you and KarKiosk agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for thirty (30) days after receipt of written notice. Your notice should be sent to support@karkiosk.com and include your name, transaction ID or purchase reference if available, a description of the dispute, and the requested resolution. KarKiosk will send its notice to your most recent contact address on file. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, either party may bring proceedings as described below.

Nothing in the informal-resolution process prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief, making a filing necessary to preserve a legal deadline, or reporting a matter to a regulator or law-enforcement agency. Any notice or procedure independently required by applicable law remains applicable.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, court proceedings concerning the service must be brought in a state court in Texas or, if federal subject-matter jurisdiction exists, a federal court in Texas. The court must have authority to hear the claim, and venue is determined by applicable law. You and KarKiosk consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts for such proceedings. This provision preserves any nonwaivable right to bring a claim in another forum and does not restrict access to a small-claims court where permitted by applicable law.

These Service Terms do not require mandatory arbitration or impose a class-action or jury-trial waiver. The General Terms' arbitration, class-action, and jury-trial waiver provisions do not apply to disputes concerning this service. Applicable statutory filing deadlines govern; these Service Terms do not shorten them. Attorney fees and litigation costs may be awarded only as authorized by applicable law or court rules.

This section governs service disputes between you and KarKiosk. It does not determine the governing law or dispute-resolution process for a vehicle transaction between buyer and seller. Those matters are governed by their transaction agreement and applicable law.

16. Changes, severability, and contact

The version accepted for a transaction governs that purchased service. Changes apply prospectively and do not rewrite signed Bills of Sale or reduce accrued rights without a legally effective agreement. We will provide required notice and obtain further consent where required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.

For Bill of Sale service questions, document-access requests, or electronic-consent assistance, contact support@karkiosk.com. The service operator is KarKiosk. Legal notices concerning this service may be mailed to KarKiosk, 6010 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. The email notice procedure in Section 15 also remains available for service disputes.

Electronic Records and
Signature Consent Disclosure

This disclosure applies separately to each participant in a KarKiosk Bill of Sale transaction. Read this disclosure before consenting to electronic records or signing.

Scope and choice

You may choose to receive and sign electronically the Bill of Sale, transaction disclosures, signing records, completed packet, and service notices associated with this particular transaction. Consent does not extend to unrelated transactions or marketing. You may decline electronic signing and arrange a paper or other permitted signing process with the other participant. KarKiosk's digital signing service may not be available without electronic consent.

Access and technical requirements

You need a device with internet access, an up-to-date browser supported by the signing workflow, a valid email address, a PDF viewer, and the ability to download and retain files. A printer is needed if you want to print copies. Before consenting, open the sample PDF provided in the workflow and confirm that you can view and save it.

Copies and contact updates

KarKiosk does not supply paper copies. You may download your completed document as a PDF and print it yourself. KarKiosk does not charge an additional fee to download the PDF. For assistance accessing a PDF copy or updating your email or other delivery details, contact support@karkiosk.com and identify your transaction.

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw consent to future electronic delivery for this transaction by emailing support@karkiosk.com with your transaction ID and a clear withdrawal request. We will implement the request within a reasonable time. We do not charge a withdrawal fee. Withdrawal may prevent completion through the digital service; service-fee refund eligibility is governed by the refund terms disclosed before purchase.

Withdrawal does not itself undo signatures already applied, invalidate previously delivered records, or cancel the vehicle transaction. If access requirements change materially, we will give the required notice of revised requirements and seek renewed consent where required.

Affirmative consent

By selecting the electronic-consent checkbox, you confirm that you have read this disclosure, can open and retain the provided sample PDF, and voluntarily agree to electronic records and signatures for this transaction. Your signature is applied only when you intentionally complete the separate signing action.
