To transfer ownership, you must complete the "Assignment of Title" section on the back of your Certificate of Title. You need to:
Enter the buyer's full name and address.
Fill in the exact odometer reading.
Enter the date of the sale and the final purchase price.
Sign your name exactly as it appears on the front of the title.
Crucially, your signature must be notarized. You must sign the title in the presence of a notary public. Do not sign it beforehand.
