No. Brantley County sits entirely outside of Georgia's 13-county mandatory emissions testing zone. You do not need an emissions test to register a vehicle to a Nahunta, Hoboken, or other Brantley County address.
To legally transfer ownership, the seller must sign the back of the original Georgia Certificate of Title. Every owner listed on the front must sign as a seller. Before handing over any money, carefully inspect the title document. Ask to see the seller’s government-issued ID to ensure their name matches the name printed on the title. You must also verify that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the paper title exactly matches the VIN on the car’s dashboard and driver-side door jamb.
