To legally move ownership, the seller must sign the back of the original Georgia Certificate of Title. Every owner listed on the front must sign as a seller. Bring your signed title to the Dawson County Tax Commissioner’s Office located in Dawsonville to finish the transfer and put the car in your name.
We strongly suggest using the official Georgia Department of Revenue Form T-7 (Bill of Sale). This form acts as your receipt and protects both you and the seller from future disputes over the price, date, or car condition.
