To legally transfer ownership, the seller must sign the back of the original Georgia Certificate of Title. Every owner listed on the front must sign as a seller. Bring your properly signed title to the Lowndes County Tax Commissioner’s Office in nearby Valdosta to complete the transfer and put the car in your name.
